UAE Licensing

UAE has 3 different authority licensing:

DHA (Dubai Health Authority)
The DHA license authorizes healthcare professionals to work across Dubai, including government and private healthcare facilities. It is highly recognized and essential for building a successful medical career in Dubai’s fast-growing healthcare hub.

HAAD/DOH (Department of Health – Abu Dhabi)
This license allows professionals to practice in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, covering both public and private healthcare institutions. It also emphasizes continuous learning and professional development to maintain the highest standards of care.

MOH (Ministry of Health & Prevention)
The MOH license permits healthcare professionals to work in the Northern Emirates, including Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, and Umm Al Quwain. It provides broader career opportunities for those wishing to serve across multiple emirates under one registration.

CDA (Community Development Authority – Dubai)
The CDA license is mandatory for psychologists, social workers, and behavioral analysts practicing in Dubai. It plays a vital role in regulating community-focused professions, ensuring individuals receive safe, ethical, and effective support.

Licensing in other Middle East Regions:

Saudi Arabia – Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS)
The SCFHS license authorizes healthcare professionals to practice in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
It involves credential verification and passing required exams, such as Prometric.
Renewal is contingent on completing Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hours.

Qatar – Qatar Council for Healthcare Practitioners (QCHP)
The QCHP license permits healthcare professionals to work in the State of Qatar.
Applicants must undergo strict evaluation, including verification and licensing exams.
Ongoing CPD activities are mandatory for maintaining an active license.

Oman – Oman Medical Specialty Board (OMSB)
The OMSB license allows healthcare professionals to practice in the Sultanate of Oman.
It also supervises specialty training and postgraduate medical education programs.
CPD compliance is essential for the continuation of the license.

Bahrain – National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA)
The NHRA license grants healthcare professionals the right to practice in Bahrain.
Applicants must complete DataFlow verification and, in most cases, pass an exam.
Renewal requires proof of CPD hours and updated professional credentials.
